The Evaluations of Miss Marple, City Employee

The daily assessments and evaluations of me continue as the population here continues to work out the nature of my reality for me. Many of those assessing of course, have been doing so for many years though it is still not even considered at all odd by them that for so many, they don’t even know who they are actually talking about. This still ‘blows my mind’ as we used to say way back in my youth.
Let me give you an example from this week, so you can all share this bizarre ongoing routine from my own point of view.

As I was sitting in a public place, a city employee was sharing the latest news and evaluation of that news with her co-workers. This woman, who has some friends working around the fringes of the local legal system has been one of the psycho-social sleuths on my case for a number of years. It is also interesting to me that she has me identified as two different people, though Miss Marple has not yet twigged onto that fact just yet…although, her emotional demeanor seems to have changed towards me in just the last few days. (We are still in August of 2007 in the ongoing saga here)

Here is the essence of her latest foray into the world of amateur psychic detectives.
To her co-workers:
“Well we don’t really know who she IS yet but we do know she used to work for Comcare. We don’t know where she works now, (still work for Comcare, Miss M.) But apparently, she has been running all over Ontario trying to get away from her family, so what does THAT tell us?’
Co-worker: “Oh really? Like where has she been moving to?”
Miss Marple: Well all over apparently like I know she lived in Belleville .”

Well, for a starter, let me tell you what all of this tells ME, just for a nice change of pace. I know you folks really don’t want to accept my own version of myself since that doesn’t give you the same gossip fix as all the rumours you make up, (or alter, or add to, or deduct from or leave out altogether) but hey, I thought we would try something new like some actual input into the story of me by me, as well as MY assessment and evaluation of the assessors.
How far out is that huh?

Well first of all, Miss Marple has a problem with personal boundaries, which she is not addressing in herself and may never address. She is a gossip as has been apparent to me for many years.
She makes judgments about people she does not know at all and sees nothing wrong with that. She often expresses opinions that are based on a lack of facts and she tends to think she understands a lot of things far better than anyone else, even when she is blatantly off the beam. She does not like to be corrected herself and reacts emotionally to any attempt to tell her anything she doesn’t want to know, yet she also loves to correct everyone else’s’ attitudes and her ideas of how they feel, usually to third parties as I have often witnessed myself. She either ‘fabricates’ information (like the living in Belleville thing) or else she has heard someone else’s fabrications, accepts gossip without question and is obviously prone to passing it along, probably in the name of ‘socializing as so many do here.
Her choice of language in the expression of her opinions is interesting to me and not unlike the choice of descriptive language I have heard coming out of the mouths of other gossips here.

For example: “running all over Ontario ” is interesting.
The language expresses an attempt to ‘escape’ detection or something and it is a form of language at least one of my dysfunctional relatives uses often. I do not simply give up trying to get through to people and move away from them as the only solution to getting them out of my personal business. I ‘run’ all over Ontario , or I ‘run away from something.’ (some mysterious and supposedly mystifying something that my assessors are totally ‘baffled’ by since it has nothing at all to do with THEM and their behaviour in their own opinion.)

The line I like best though is the, “so what does THAT tell us.”

I would like Miss Marple to tell us what it tells HER. Like many people here what everything tells them is whatever they are subjectively projecting into the facts, (fabricated or otherwise) which are based on their own ideas and opinions which they have then abstracted as truth for all people, at all times, and in all things.
From my understanding that is not rational or logical but rather defensive. That defensive thinking and behaviour is based not on secure foundations but rather on insecurity and is a reaction to being challenged or feeling threatened in someway. They want to believe they are in control. If that is the case, then anyone who does not think as they do MUST be the one out of control; otherwise they would have to fear they do not have the amount of control over their own lives that they want to believe they have.
Which they DON’T and no one else does either.
It is the failure to recognize this that is causing the splitting off of reality which is done to keep ‘’dangerous truths away from our collective consciousness.
